About Kinvara Bay Veterinary Clinic
Kinvara Bay Veterinary Clinic is a new, modern, purpose-built small animal clinic in the sea-side village of Kinvara serving south Galway and north Clare.
Established by Kinvara native, Felim Mac Eoin, and assisted by Melanie and Linda, our aim is to provide your pets with the highest quality of veterinary care.
Our professional veterinary team ensures a clean, friendly environment with a special emphasis on individual care for your pet.
We have state of the art equipment to deal with a wide range of medical and surgical procedures and are committed to providing the highest quality pet care to all our customers.

The opening of a small pet veterinary clinic in his native Kinvara has been a long-held dream of Felim’s and it has been a source of great pride and joy to see his dream realised.
However, that dream wasn’t simply about opening up a physical building – it was about putting together a veterinary team who could provide excellent pet healthcare to pet owners across south Galway and north Clare including Oranmore, Gort, New Quay, Ballyvaughan and surrounding areas.
So as well as his own 20 years of veterinary experience, Felim has added Melanie and Linda to the Kinvara Bay Veterinary Clinic team who will provide veterinary nursing and practice management skills respectively.
We look forward to welcoming new customers from Kilcolgan, Carran and afar as well as some familiar faces from Kinvara to our new practice clinic in the near future.
Our Veterinary Team
Assisted by Registered Veterinary Nurse, Melanie, as well as Practice Manager, Linda, our veterinary team aims to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care to all our Kinvara and Galway customers.
Felim Mac Eoin MVB, Cert AVP(EM)
Felim is from Kinvara and graduated from the Veterinary College in UCD in 2001. He gained a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice through Liverpool University in 2013 and has two peer reviewed publications as well as having presented at conferences.
A lifelong dog owner, his ambition was always to have a small animal practice in Kinvara.
His interests outside of veterinary are hurling, swimming, rugby and horses.
Melanie O’Donoghue – Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Melanie has a passion for animal health and well being and has been nursing for over 30 years. She has completed her Fear Free Cert , which helps nervous pets cope with vet visits!
She will be looking after your pets and offering advice on weight and preventative healthcare through regular nurse clinics.
Outside of veterinary she looks after her many pets, horses and Dexter cattle in Ballyvaughan.
Linda McNally – Practice Manager
Linda has several years of experience working in small animal practices in both her native Dublin and in Galway.
